    ingredients

    • Step 1 - The Carbonara Egg Mixture In a small bowl whisk together the egg yolk, cream, grated parmesan, black pepper and a pinch of salt until completely smooth. Set aside this is what makes the sauce silky and rich.
    • Step 2 - Crispy Paneer Pat paneer cubes completely dry with kitchen paper. Heat oil in a non-stick pan on medium-high heat. Add paneer in a single layer and leave untouched for 2-3 minutes until golden. Flip and repeat on all sides. Add soy sauce and smoked paprika, toss quickly for 30 seconds and remove. Set aside on kitchen paper.
    • Step 3 - Garlic Butter In the same pan on medium-low heat, melt butter with a splash of oil. Add sliced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until just golden and fragrant. Remove from heat and set aside.
    • Step 4 - Cook the Noodles Cook Sun Hee Bulmyeon Carbonara noodles as per pack instructions. Before draining, reserve 3-4 tablespoons of cooking water. Drain and return noodles to the warm pot off the heat.
    • Step 5 - The Sauce Moment Add the Sun Hee Carbonara sauce sachet and toss well. Pour in the egg yolk mixture and toss vigorously for 60-90 seconds the residual heat cooks the egg gently creating a silky glossy coating on every noodle. Add garlic butter and toss. Add reserved cooking water if needed to loosen.
    • Step 6 - Build the Bowl Twirl noodles into a deep bowl. Pile crispy paneer on top. Scatter parmesan, black pepper, spring onions and fresh coriander generously. Finish with a drizzle of olive oil.
    • Step 7 - Serve Immediately The sauce tightens as it cools this bowl goes straight from pan to table to mouth.
